Teaching Philosophy
I believe each child is a unique individual who has the potential to be successful in all parts of life. It is my goal as an educator to help students achieve this success by providing a classroom environment that is safe for students to take risks and share ideas on a daily basis.
Every classroom has a unique community of learners that varies in abilities and learning styles. In order to meet the needs of all the students I will develop lessons and assessments based on these needs. I will also involve the interests of the students in my teaching. In order to have active learners, I will include hands-on lessons, projects, group work, and independent work. I will integrate units throughout the subjects and tie learning into the real world in order to help students see how it is relevant in life.
My classroom will be a safe environment where each child can grow as an individual. Students will become responsible by using positive discipline.
Learning is a lifelong process. I hope, as an educator, to instill the love of learning in my students by sharing my passion for learning.
