A little about me...
Hi, my name is Amanda Kain and I am a graduate of Michigan State University. I graduated in 2008 with a degree in elementary education with minors in mathematics and environmental science. I completed a year-long internship in Novi Public Schools located in Novi, MI. Through my internship I got the opportunity to teach a 3rd/4th multiage classroom. Since then I have been a substitute teacher, looking for a permanent position. I completed my Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) in the fall of 2012. I look forward to using my knowledge from the program to incorporate technology into my teaching and to help others do the same.
After completing my year-long teaching internship I began substitute teaching in the Walled Lake School District. I have worked at many schools in the district, as a substitute and as a building substitute. I am currently the building substitute at Loon Lake Elementary located in Wixom, MI. The staff and students are wonderful to work with day after day! I love my job and look forward to having a classroom of my own someday soon!

My family and friends mean the world to me! I am lucky to have a supportive, loving, and fun family. I have a large extended family who, for the most part, live close by. My friends are also amazing. They make me laugh and I always have fun with them. Not only are they there for the fun times, they are also there for me whenever I need someone to talk to. I feel very fortunate to have these people in my life and do not know what I would do without them!
