TE 803 Professional Roles and Teaching Practices II
Instructor: Judy Thompson
Spring 2009
This class is taught during the spring semester of the teacher internship year. We were asked to develop a unit encompasing our current internship grade curriculum. Along with the lesson we were asked to focus on the special needs learners in the classroom and plan that in our unit.
Mini-Society Lesson Plan
The unit I choose to create was for my third and fourth graders on the economy. Every year the 3rd and 4th graders look forward to this unit because they get to create a product and then "sell" the product. Looking back on my plans it reminds me of my struggles and how far I have come as a teacher.
TE 804 Reflection and Inquiry in Teaching Practice II
Instructor: Wayne Hewitt
Spring 2009
This course is also taught during the spring semester of the teacher internship year. It is intended to build on our knowlegde of science in the classroom. More importantly, it was meant to teach us the process of how to determine, analyze, and reflect on science with our students.
Science Lesson Plan
I took this course in the final half of my teacher internship year. We were asked to create a science lesson, teach it to our class, and then make a presentation to our peers on what went well and what did not. This was a few years ago and since then I have had a lot more experience in creating lessons and teaching them. I feel that I have grown so much as a teacher and can see that I have when I look back at my work.
